10 firms keen to receive stock brokerage licenses

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: A total of 10 companies have expedited the process to receive stockbrokers licenses as the deadline to file the application is expiring within the next five days.

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: A total of 10 companies have expedited the process to receive stockbrokers licenses as the deadline to file the application is expiring within the next five days.


According to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), it has received an application from Himalayan Securities to receive the brokerage license. Likewise, nine other firms are also in process to get recommendation of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) for the purpose.

Machhapuchchhre Securities, NMB Securities, KBL Securities, Kalash Securities, Capital Max Securities and Prabhu Stock, among others, have applied for the recommendations, according to NEPS.


On September 18, the SEBON issued a public notice inviting interested firms to get the brokerage licenses. Sebon has set a deadline of 30 days to apply for the license.
