RUKUM, Jan 4:  A person has died while four others sustained serious injuries in a tractor accident at Simli in Sanibheri rural municipality-9 on Thursday.

According to an eyewitness, the tractor, Ma 1 Ta 135, belonging to Chandra And Bashanta Construction P. Ltd, fell some 30 meters down the rough road while backing it away to avoid a boulder rolling down from above along the Mid-Hill Highway.

The identities of the deceased and the injured are yet to be ascertained.

The injured have been taken to Rukum District Hospital.
