According to Punya Prasad Sigdel, chief of the district's health office, the number of recoveries were recorded from 10 local administrations along with 9 deaths and 394 active cases of COVID-19.
However, the decrease in the number of infected cases is believed to have been caused due to the government's failure to conduct sufficient amounts of PCR and antigen testing in the district.
