1,615 new COVID-19 cases reported in Kathmandu Valley in past 24 hours

There are currently 20,066 active cases of COVID-19 in the Valley

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,615 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Of the 2,364 cases of COVID-19 recorded across the country, 1,615 were detected in the Valley alone, taking the Valley’s COVID-19 case tally to 73,103.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 1,338 people in Kathmandu, 97 in Bhaktapur and 180 in Lalitpur districts were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Thursday.

The new cases detected today include 984 females and 1,380 males.

There are currently 16,521 active cases in Kathmandu, 1,075 in Bhaktapur and 2,470 in Lalitpur district.

As of Thursday afternoon, as many as 328 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the Valley, including 209 from Kathmandu, 61 from Bhaktapur and 58 from Lalitpur.

Likewise, 52,709 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far in the Valley. The Valley’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 72.10 percent.
