KATHMANDU/LONDON, June 10: London Court has begun recording statements of two Nepalis against Nepal Army Colonel Kumar Lama who has been facing charges over war-related crime.
Janak Raut and Karam Hussein of Gorusinghe, Kapilvastu who had faced Lama's wrath during the war era have been recording their statements.
A Jury in London on Monday began hearing on the criminal case filed against Lama for allegedly torturing detainees in the Nepalese Army barracks during the Maoist armed insurgency.
In a Skype conversation, Raut said that he is recording his statement against Lama. "We were tortured blindfolded," Raut added, "We have not forgotten the pain."
