KATHMANDU, Dec 19: The team of Nepali film ‘Rajja Rani’ has initiated an awareness campaign from Monday with the aim to promote the film that is based on child marriage and dowry system mostly prevalent in the  tarai region.

On the occasion of actor Keki Adhikari’s birthday, film and social institution Bhor Nepal organized a press conference to announce that the 10-day campaign will kick off in Biratanagar and reach Kathmandu for its conclusion.

This time, we are glad to work on the same subject matter through film,” said Mahato.  “Since the storyline and the purpose of this organization were relevant, the film has also been screened in Maithili language. We have also planned to run the screening in eastern tarai region.”
