SP Ranjit Singh Rathore said that Pun was released after paying a bail of Rs 400,000 to the Rupandehi District Court.
A week ago, Judge Dr Deepak Upreti's bench issued the order for Pun's release for a bail of Rs 400,000. However, Pun failed to deposit the bail amount and his detention was extended.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police is investigating the case. Pun is the son of former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun.
