Sareesha Shrestha, Miss Nepal Earth 2022, was awarded a Gold Medal in MBBS (Pathology) by Tribhuvan University (TU) on Thursday.

Miss Nepal organizer, The Hidden Treasure, issued a press release about her academic achievement.

The organizer has also congratulated Shrestha through a post in their official facebook page. The caption reads, “Miss Earth 2022, Dr Sareesha Shrestha's Academic Achievement! Today, she was awarded the TU Gold Medal in MBBS (Pathology). Congratulations @shrestha_sareesha for achieving academic excellence. We all are proud of you. #TheHiddenTreasure #MissNepalEarth2022 #MissEarth.”

Similarly, Sareesha Shrestha posted photos on her social media on which she wrote, “TU Gold Medalist, 2076. Ever since I had received the news, I was out of words to express or contain my happiness. It is the dream of many, if not every MBBS aspirant and never had I thought I would be lucky enough to turn this into reality! MBBS was tough, really tough but it feels like the hard work paid off. The sacrifices of my parents, the unflinching support of my sister, the sweat, the tears paid off. Not to sound obnoxious but today, I feel proud of myself. Proud that I was able to answer those who questioned my choices, juggle my academics and my interests and proud that I could see the same pride in the eyes of my parents. Thank you God, thank you Universe.”
