KATHMANDU, June 30: The House of Representatives has approved the Finance Bill, 2081. Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun's motion to pass the bill was accepted by a majority vote in the parliamentary session on Sunday.
Parliamentarians Prem Suwal, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Dilendra Prasad Badu, and Kiran Kumar Sah participated in the discussion on the bill.
Addressing the questions raised during the discussion, Finance Minister Pun said that the proposed changes in the Finance Bill aim to make tax laws more scientific, investment-friendly, and transparent.
Earlier, the majority rejected the amendments proposed by MPs Suwal and Mahat.
