If you looking for the best movie based on journalism, ‘Spotlight’ is top-notch. Based on a true incident, the movie depicts how a group of five investigative journalists from the Boston Globe exposed the huge scandal of child abuse by several Catholic Roman priests in Boston. Released on November 6, 2015, the movie earned two Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

The movie shows how Stephen--popular reporter in mid-1990s journalism career was ended after his numerous fabricated news articles were exposed. Though the movie didn’t impress the box-office, it turned into a critically acclaimed movie.
