During FESTA dinner on Tuesday, on the occasion of their ninth year’s anniversary, BTS announced an indefinite hiatus. They promised that they would return and not opt for disbandment.

As seen on the video clips on YouTube, BTS leader RM aka Kim Nam-joon broke down saying he did not live up to his fans expectations during dinner. He said that BTS was within his grasp until ‘ON’ and ‘Dynamite’, but after ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission’ dance he didn’t know what kind of group they were anymore. What kind of message story he wants to give out. He did not know what kind of story he should tell now.

He said, “I always thought that BTS is different from other groups. I’ve changed as a person in the last 10 years. My schedule in the last 10 years is not letting me be mature so I need time to think and have some alone time.”

He further added, “I have to be aware who BTS is, who my team members are and what path we are going to take as a group. Somehow, it’s become my job to be a rapping machine, remake music and speak in English for the group.”

Later, all the group members expressed their feelings about what they are going through and what they will do during the hiatus. Now, BTS will focus on their solo projects. Starting with J-Hope they will release their solo albums. They said that they just need some time to bring themselves together. RM said  that he is and will always want to be RM from BTS.
