KATHMANDU , March 8: Santoshi Tole and Chauraha emerged victorious in the Sagarmatha Cement Dhanagadhi Cricket League at the SSP Cricket Ground in Dhanagadhi on Tuesday.
Santoshi Tole beat Attariya by 36 runs, while Chauraha recorded four-wicket win over Campus Road. Batting first, Santoshi Tole posted 148 runs losing six wickets in allotted 20 overs with Sunil Dhamala's 59 runs off 44 balls.
Chauraha lifts DPL title for second consecutive time
Player-of-the-match Sunil hit a six and nine fours. In reply, Attariya managed only 112 runs in 19.5 overs despite Surendra Chand and Mehboob Alam scoring 26 runs each.
Prakash Karki and Tekendra Bohara claimed three wickets each for Santoshi Tole. In another match, Campus Road posted 71 runs in 20 overs with Rajan Sherchan scoring highest 23 runs off 35 balls. Chauraha's Aman Panthi claimed a hat-trick to restrict the opposition on the low score. In reply, Chauraha met the target in 15.2 overs losing six wickets as Bipin Rawal scored 24 runs off 32 balls.
