BHAKTAPUR, Nov 21: Minister for Science, Technology and Environment, Bishwendra Paswan on Saturday said that the government would not strike any agreement that may erode national pride of the country.

Speaking at an event in Thimi, Bhaktapur today, he said that the government would not reach any agreement that may affect nationality, independence and sovereignty. "We will survive on a drop of water, but will not trade our independence and freedom. We will resolve our problems by ourselves while maintaining national pride and that the government is working towards that end," he said.

Saying that the government would abide by the constitution by word, he said, indicating to the agitating Madhes-based political parties, "Sit down for talks and find a solution. It is not appropriate not to sit down for dialogue, but only trouble people by launching protests." RSS
