Virginia McLaurin, who is 106 years old, fulfilled her dream of visiting the White House and meeting President Obama, according to a video Facebook post from White House officials.
In the video, McLaurin appears ecstatic to meet the president, and cruises past him to greet first lady Michelle.
"I want to be like you when I grow up," Michelle quipped, to which McLaurin replied, "You can," with a shimmy of her shoulders.
The three then hold hands and start dancing, and the president asks, "What's the secret to still dancing at 106?"
"Just keep moving," she replied.
She continued, "I thought I would never live to get in the White House... and I tell you, I am so happy. A black president, a black wife."
The encounter seemed to please the first couple: "You have just made our day, you know that?" Michelle told the visitor.
McLaurin's visit comes in the midst of events honoring Black History Month. The video also appeared to garner much online attention: By early Monday, the video had more than 8 million views on Facebook.
