KATHMANDU, Feb 20: The country witnessed a change in climate pattern today due to impact of westerly wind.

Such change has triggered light rainfall in some parts of the western Nepal and snowfall in some high-altitude areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The country including the Kathmandu Valley came under the impact of westerly land since last night, witnessing a change in climate pattern and this would continue throughout the day today, and there will be improvement in the weather from tomorrow (Sunday), the Division said.
