KATHMANDU, March 10: Some of the well-known faces are far behind as 250 votes have been counted to elect 25 Central Working Committee (CWC) members of Nepali Congress (NC) under open category.

Leader Ashok Koirala, who is active in the party since long, has received only 92 votes. Likewise, former vice-chairman of National Planning Commission (NCP) Dr Govindaraj Pokharel has garnered only 89 votes.

NC leader from Tanahun, Dhurba Wagle (74), Ram Hari Khatiwada (74) and Taranath Dahal (32) have failed to enter the list of top 25 candidates.

Likewise, former speaker Taranath Ranabhat and Suryaman Gurung are also far behind the race garnering 69 and 63 votes respectively.
