UNHCR,WFP ration to Bhutanese refugee soon

DAMAK, Feb. 8: UNHCR and WFP have decided to distribute ration aid to Bhutanese refugees camping in eastern Nepal as per the agreement.[break]



The aid will be distributed immediately in coordination with Camp’s Ration Management Committee, said secretary of Shanischare Camp Champa Singh Rai.



UNHCR said the process to distribute identity cards to the refugees will begin after its investigation process comes to an end.



The other process will be forwarded after striking a deal with the Nepal Government and for this, necessary process is underway, said Refugee Unit Coordination Sub-Director and Assistant Chief District Officer Lekh Nath Pokhrel.



There are 3,739 refugees deprived of ration in different  seven refugee camps in Nepal and they will receive ration soon, according to UNHCR.
