Local UDMF cadres intervened in the function immediately after it started in the hall of Rauniyar Sewa Sadan in Lahan.
There was a scuffle between UDMF cadres and new force supporters. During the scuffle, UDMF cadres manhandled some supporters of the new force including Ramrijhan Yadav.
After police's intervention, clashes among the supporters of UDMF, new force and police followed.
Agitating UDMF cadres had shouted slogans against the new force.
The function, which was to see discussion on the relations between Madhes movement and the new force, was disrupted. “It was not a thing to disrupt a function organized by sympathizers of Madhes movement,” said Ram Chandra Jha, who was the chief guest at the function.
