Two Indians held for smuggling Indian currency

JANAKPURDHAM, Sept 26: The Janakpur police on Tuesday arrested Indian nationals on the charge of smuggling of Indian currency notes.



The arrested are Shekhar Kumar Rungata and Ashok Kumar Yadav of Jayanagar.[break]



Police said that it had confiscated INR 24,000 and Rs. 2.23 million from them.



The two were arrested from the Madar point in Siraha. They have admitted before the police to bringing in Indian currency notes for one gold dealer Shankar Saha of Janakpur.
