Two break out of Surkhet Jail

SURKHET, July 12
: Two inmates broke out of Surkhet Jail early Tuesday morning.



The prisoners ran away breaking the wall.[break]



The two absconding inmates have been identified as Punnabahadur Shahi of Dandafaya, Humla and Bijayabikram Shah of Latikoili, Surkhet.



Shahi was transferred to Surkhet from Humla District Jail where he was serving time period of 8 years.



Convicted of rape, Shah was in Surkhet jail since the last three months for abduction.



The duo broke out of jail, after the morning routine of counting the jail inmates had been completed, informed Jailer Prakash Neupane.



After the incident, the administrator suspended 25 policemen including on duty Assistant Sub-Inspector Minbahadur Shahi and formed a probe committee under the Assistant Chief District Officer, Hari Pyakurel.



Investigation on the matter is underway informed ASP Govindaram Pariyar.
