The federation has declared transport strike to protest what it called non-implementation of the 11-point demands signed with the previous government.
Vehicular movement on Bardibas-Jaleshwar road and East-West Highway has come to a standstill. However, vehicles have been plying on BP Highway.
FOBC members have warned that they would not call off the strike before the agitation yields any result. “We will continue the strike till our demands get addressed and resort to stern agitation if our voices were not heard,” said Dipalal Mahato, FOBC Mohattari president.
Earlier last night, FOBC organized a rally in several parts in the district to pressure the government.
