KATHMANDU, Dec 18: A cabinet meeting to be held this evening is likely to suspend Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Kosh Raj Onta and appoint a new APF chief on Friday.
According to sources, the cabinet meeting is likely to suspend APF Chief Onta in line with the recommendation of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

The Cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held at 6 am this evening.

The meeting which was scheduled to be held on Thursday was postponed due to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's visit to Barpak of Gorkha.
The CIAA had recommended to the government to suspend Armed Police Force (APF) Chief Kosh Raj Onta and three other APF officers from their posts in order to investigate their alleged involvement in financial irregularities and corruption while transporting arms, ammunition and other logistics to various APF units across the country.
