Three injured in ambulance accident in Ramechhap

Three individuals have sustained injuries after an ambulance transporting a dead body from Ramechhap to Kathmandu suffered an accident on Thursday morning.

KATHMANDU, May 22: Three individuals have sustained injuries after an ambulance transporting a dead body from Ramechhap to Kathmandu suffered an accident on Thursday morning.


According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap, the accident occurred around 10:45 am on the inner road of Char Ghare, Khadadevi Rural Municipality-3. The ambulance (Province 3-01-002 Jha 5803), which was descending a slope, veered off the road and fell approximately 100 meters down.

There were four people in that ambulance. The vehicle and the dead body are at the accident site. Police stated that the injured individuals have been transferred to Dhulikhel via another ambulance.


The injured individuals have been identified as Suresh Magar, 24, the ambulance driver from Doramba Shailung-3, Ramechhap; Narayan Bahadur Nepali, 42, from Doramba Shailung-2, Ramechhap; and Dil Bahadur Damai, 53.


The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
