SIRAHA, Aug 6: Three Indian nationals were arrested with a homemade pistol during a routine police check along the Choharwa-Siraha road section in Naraha Rural Municipality-3 of Siraha district.
According to the Siraha District Police Office, the individuals arrested have been identified as Omshankar Yadav, Rishinath Mandal and Akashkumar Mandal, all residents of Belahi Panchayat-3, Madhubani district, Bihar, India. The trio was traveling on a single motorcycle when they were apprehended on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajesh Raj Puri, in charge of the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, led the patrol team that stopped the motorcycle for inspection based on suspicion. During the search, the police discovered a concealed homemade pistol in their possession.
DSP Birendra Paswan, spokesperson for the Siraha District Police Office, confirmed that all three individuals are currently being held at the Mirchaiya police office for further investigation. He said, "They will be presented before the Siraha District Court today to seek an extension of their detention for further investigation under the Arms and Ammunition Act."
