According to the Department, as much as 418.8 ml rainfall was recorded across the country during this month against the normal rainfall of 199.8 ml.
Senior meteorologist at the Department Rajendra Shrestha said that this year´s monsoon is expected to remain active for 10 more days, adding that generally the monsoon becomes active for 110 days in Nepal.
He said this year´s monsoon could remain for some more days due to delayed beginning of the monsoon.
According the Department, Dang recorded the highest amount of rainfall and Dipayal the lowest during the last 24 hours. Dang recorded 79.2 ml rainfall during the period.
