KATHMANDU, Nov 22: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has asserted that the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) will be reinstated, insisting there is no alternative to the restoration of parliament.
Addressing a mass gathering at Bhrikuti Mandap on Saturday, Chairman Oli said the HoR was dissolved unconstitutionally and must therefore be revived. He described the recommendation for dissolution as unauthorized and unconstitutional, calling it “a regrettable step taken in violation of the constitution”.

“The House of Representatives, dissolved on the basis of an unauthorized and unconstitutional recommendation, must be restored immediately — and it will be. There is no other path,” Oli declared during his speech.
Reiterating UML’s demand for reinstatement, Oli claimed that only his party is capable of steering the country out of the current crisis. “To achieve the goal of a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis, and to implement people’s multiparty democracy through a complete democratic framework, UML will move forward as the nation’s decisive force,” he said.
Oli added that Saturday’s mass assembly and rally were organized to demonstrate UML’s strength and its commitment to Parliament’s restoration. He also conveyed that his party is determined to uphold constitutional rule and restore the country to a path guided by the rule of law.
