Suspicious object found near Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU, March 1: A suspicious object has been found near Singha Durbar, Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) said that the object was discovered near the south gate of the main administrative enclave of the country.


MoHA Spokesperson Yadav Koirala told Republica Online that a bomb disposal unit of Nepal Army (NA) has reached the site.

According to him, preliminary investigation suggests that the object is not a bomb.

“It is almost certain that the object is not an explosive,” he said, “An unidentified object has been attached to a water pump.”
