KATHMANDU, Aug 13: The Supreme Court has dismissed the writ petition filed by Mukul Dhakal, demanding that he be allowed to continue as the General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RISP).

A division bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Sunil Kumar Pokharel handed down the order to dismiss the writ petition, according to Supreme Court spokesperson Achyut Kuinkel.
Founding General Secretary of the Party, Dhakal, was expelled from the party for allegedly engaging in activities against the party's interests. Challenging the decision, Dhakal had filed a writ petition in the Apex Court.
