KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Former Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Suman has urged political parties to take immediate action on reforms following the Gen-Z movement. She said parties need to move beyond vague promises and show concrete steps to restore trust.
Through social media on Sunday, Suman challenged parties to act quickly, highlighting two key reforms. First, she called for an end to politicization in educational institutions, including dissolving teacher and staff organizations misused for political gain, stopping interference in student groups, and holding accountable anyone who vandalizes schools or assaults teachers.

Second, she emphasized that all partisan appointments in ambassadorial posts, universities, boards, banks, and constitutional bodies should resign.
Addressing Gen-Z directly, she said, “These are simple reforms parties can implement immediately. They don’t require Parliament or government approval. Until these steps are taken, don’t trust any promises.” She added that such measures are crucial to ensuring fairness in public service, which forms the backbone of a bureaucracy that serves the people.
Her statement comes as a reminder that the post-Gen-Z government, while not directly led by her, is being closely watched for its commitment to reforms.
