Sri Lanka defeats Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Visiting Nepali national cricket team lost its third practice match in a row on Saturday against Sri Lanka U-23 after Shakti Gauchan was bowled in the last ball played at Thurstan Complex Turf Cricket Ground in Colombo.



Nepal chasing the target of 169 runs could have achieved its first win in the Sri Lanka tour if Gauchan, bowled for eight, had struck four but he became Chaturanga Kumara´s victim in the last ball.[break]



Nepal that lost the toss could manage only 165\9 in the 50 over match after it was invited for fielding first. Earlier, Nepal had restricted Sri Lanka for 168 runs in 48.1 over.
