KATHMANDU, June 10 : Nepal’s national cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series in Scotland, with key pacer Sompal Kami and all-rounder Gulshan Jha ruled out due to injuries sustained during training.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) confirmed that Sompal injured his right hand while Gulshan sustained a knee injury. Based on medical advice, both players have been prescribed rest and will miss the match against the Netherlands as well as the entire upcoming T20I series.
