KATHMANDU, April 7: The order of precedence of ministers has been reshuffled. President Ram Chandra Paudel revised the ranking of ministers on Tuesday on the recommendation of Prime Minister Balen Shah.
Following the change, Home Minister Sudan Gurung has moved down from third to fifth position. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is now ranked third, while Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been placed fourth. Previously, Khanal held the fourth position and Shrestha the sixth.
Similarly, Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal has been moved from fourth to sixth place. Law Minister Sobita Gautam has climbed from 12th to seventh, while Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Sita Wadi has moved up from 15th to eighth.

Federal Affairs Minister Pratibha Rawal has advanced from 11th to ninth position. Meanwhile, the Health Minister has shifted from ninth to 10th place, and Education Minister Sasmita Pokharel has moved down from eighth to 11th.
When the Cabinet was formed on March 26 (Chaitra 13), Tourism Minister Khadkaraj Paudel was ranked seventh, but has now been pushed down to 12th. Communication Minister Bikram Timilsina has slipped from 10th to 13th.
Likewise, Agriculture Minister Geeta Chaudhary has moved from 13th to 14th position, while Labor Minister Deepak Kumar Sah has been placed at the last position after previously holding the 14th rank.
