Neeraj Niraula, Rajan Puri and Anil Rajbahak of Nepal along with Australia´s IM Alexander Bol, Russia´s GM Alexander Famoni and Bangladesh FM Iminul Islam are on top of the table.
Niraula played draw against top rated Russian GM Famoni in the eighth round after defeating India´s Asutosh Kumar in the seventh. Meanwhile, the only undefeated player from Nepal, Puri gave continuity to his good run playing draw against Badrilal Nepali and Bangladesh FM Islam. Rajbahak defeated 10-year old Saurav Anand of India and Australian IM Bol in seventh and eighth round respectively.
Badrilal Nepali, FM Sujendra Prasad Shrestha, Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, Krishna Thapa, Madan Krishna Kayastha, Suman Shrestha, Saurav Anand, Harsha Himanshu, Nildhari Shekhar Bhattacharya, Mankumar Gurung, Dilip Das, Asutosh Kumar have all accumulated six poitns apiece.
