KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Popular folk singer Rekha Shah has been arrested on Sunday evening.
Police arrested Shah and her husband Indra Gurung on the charge of lending money with charging excessive interest rate.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Office nabbed the couple acting on a complaint in connection with lending money to Sandip Raj Kafle with charging excessive charge of interest.
According to sources, the couple had forced Kafle to sign an agreement paper on private transaction (Tamsuk) of Rs 70 lakh while lending him just Rs 10 lakh.
