KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said that two senior Nepali officials have reached the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha, India to help Nepali students.
Minister Rana said that the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal in the university hostel and the subsequent developments are being closely followed up, and two senior officials have reached the university on Tuesday morning.

She said, "Two senior Nepal Police officials from the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi have reached the university this morning to understand the situation of Nepali students and to create a safe environment for Nepali students in the college."
She also said that the two officials who have reached the university have been instructed to coordinate with Indian security personnel for necessary investigation into the incident and to coordinate with the university administration to provide necessary assistance to Nepali students and ensure their safe stay in the hostel.
Rana also said that the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi is taking necessary initiatives in this regard.
