RAUTAHAT, June 6: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Suresh Das, section officer at District Administration Office, Sarlahi, for taking bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a service seeker.

A team deployed by CIAA from Bardibas took Das into custody from a junction at the District Court. CIAA said that they had confiscated Rs. 50,000 from his car, Ba 6 Cha 1183.
Chief of Sarlahi District Police, SP Kosh Raj Pokhrel confirmed of his arrest. Acting chief of CIAA-Hetauda, Santa Mani Acharya said that the Sarlahi operation was successful and additional investigation was ongoing.
