SCOPE Nepal helps 150 quake-affected children

KATHMANDU, June 7: SCOPE Nepal distributed relief materials to 150 earthquake-affected children of Bishwamitra High School in Jyamirkot, Lalitpur on Friday.

The distributed aid materials worth Nrs 200,000.00 included a set of school uniform, school bags, copies, pencils and other stationary items and first aid kit, among others.


Additionally, 25 girls from 8, 9 and 10th grade at menstrual age were provided with sanitary kits to help them maintain their hygiene during their periods.

The relief materials were provided to the students in order to help them rebuild their school life affected after the earthquakes.

The materials were handed over to the Chairperson of the School Management Committee Kamal Bahadur Thapa and the school head teacher Thakur Prasad Upadhyay.

At the program, Chairperson of SCOPE Nepal Abhaya Raj Joshi expressed his gratitude to the donors for their generosity and the school family for arranging the aid distribution to the neediest.

SCOPE Nepal plans to reach out to 2000 most affected students ahead.
