KATHMANDU, April 22: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show cause order in response to the habeas corpus petition filed on behalf of Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane.
Following a preliminary hearing, a single bench of Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman issued the order on Tuesday. The petition will now be heard by a division bench of justices.

Lamichhane's wife, Nikita Poudel, had filed the petition on Sunday, challenging the decision of the High Court Tulsipur (Butwal bench) ordering Lamichhane detention in the case related to the Supreme Cooperative fraud. Lamichhane remains under judicial custody Bhairahawa.
