KATHMANDU, Nov 15: The Supreme Court on Sunday gave continuity to its previous interim order regarding National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista's position at the sport's governing body.
Earlier, on October 30, a single bench of chief justice Kalyan Shrestha had issued the interim order against the decision of the CIAA that had directed the government to remove NSC Member Secretary Bista from the position on September 11. Bista had challenged the decision taken by the CIAA claiming that the decision was politically inspired.

The joint bench of Justice Sushila Karki and Om Prakash Mishra also asked the CIAA to submit the original copy of the case filed against Bista while continuing the interim order on Sunday.
Prachanda, Karki appointed chief coach
National Sports Council (NSC) appointed Prachanda Sharma as boxing chief coach and Pranil Dhwaj Karki as chief coach for wushu.
According to an NSC statement, Sharma and Karki were appointed as chief coaches as per a decision taken at the member-secretary-level on November 4.
Sharma had been sacked from the post three years ago after serving as boxing chief coach for nine years. During his tenure as coach Nepal had won just one medal in the 16th Asian Games held in China in 2014. Boxer Deepak Maharjan had claimed bronze medal, the only medal for Nepal in the Asian Games.
Coach Sharma, who completed his NIS Course from Patiala in 1989-90, is also an IBA three star coaching certified coach. Similarly, Karki, technical committee member of Asian Wushu Federation and director at South Asian Wushu Federation, had been sacked from the position of chief coach by former NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama.
