CHITWAN, Nov 7: President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has urged party leaders and cadres to demonstrate political culture by paying heed to people's expectations and needs.
Addressing a programme organized by the RSP Chitwan on Friday, Lamichhane questioned the change in the behavior of party leaders and cadres after the party came to lead the government.

"It is not political character to attack a society that puts forth critical views. A party's behavior is evaluated by society," he said, urging party leaders and cadres to mend their ways.
He said the people had given the RSP a huge opportunity, with 182 seats in Parliament, to lead the government and that the party needed to correct its behavior. Lamichhane said this was not the time to be revengeful.
"If we exert undue pressure on the administration and police, we will not be able to navigate for long," he warned.
The RSP president also criticized the party's conduct and urged its leaders and cadres to shun arrogance. He recalled that the RSP had previously urged the government to work in line with people's expectations.
However, Lamichhane claimed that there was no dispute or infighting within the RSP. He also stressed the need to strengthen institutions, including the judiciary, policy-making bodies and the press, to build a robust system.
