Electricity generation is projected to reach around 2,500 megawatts during the period. Shrestha said sufficient electricity would be available to ensure a smooth power supply as domestic power generation is expected to exceed demand.
The NEA has made special preparations to ensure a reliable, regular and quality power supply to consumers during the Tihar and Chhath festivals.
Shrestha said chiefs of all concerned offices had been directed to make the necessary preparations to avoid disruptions in power supply during the festivals.
The NEA has also instructed office chiefs to regularly answer telephone calls received through the no-light service and address complaints related to power supply, he added.
