Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba felicitated her with the award. The award carries a purse of Rs 15,000 and a certificate.
“The honor is for Bhuju’s incredible passion and motivation to write on the tourism issues of Nepal,” reads the excerpt of the certificate.
TAAN has also recognized her positive media reporting to promote the tourism industry of Nepal.
The award has been conferred on the 37th general assembly of the trekking entrepreneurs’ professional body.
Bhuju has been reporting for Republica since 2010.
Raju Baskota of Annapurna Post has also been recognized for his contribution with the equal amount of prize. Diwakar Panta of Kantipur TV and freelance journalist Ashok Silwal were also felicitated at the program.
