KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Madhes-based leader Rajendra Mahato's newly formed political party, Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal, has been officially registered with the Election Commission (EC).
The EC issued a certificate after the party was registered on Tuesday. The EC has assigned a gas cylinder as its election symbol.

"A flag featuring a bow and arrow in the center of a dark blue background has also been approved," stated a press release issued by the party's chairman, Rajendra Mahato.
The registration number of Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal is 2019. Mahato stated that the party aims to move forward guided by the principles of patriotism and community socialism.
