KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Raghuji Pant is set to contest for the post of vice-chairperson at the 11th General Convention of the CPN-UML.
Sources close to senior vice-chairperson Ishwar Pokhrel claim that Pant will contest as a candidate from Pokhrel’s panel. A Pokhrel-aligned source said Pant has been named as the vice-chairperson candidate from their panel.

At the convention, party chair KP Sharma Oli and senior vice-chairperson Ishwar Pokhrel are preparing to compete for the leadership with separate panels. The election process is currently underway at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
