KATHMANDU, May 13: Members of the "Greater Nepal Nationalist Front" and the "Greater Nepal Communist Party" gathered outside the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to voice their opposition to the Indian government's unilateral construction of an embankment on the Mahakali River.
Protesters accused India of intentionally diverting Nepali land towards its territory with the construction, which they claim violates Nepal's territorial sovereignty.

The protesters, waving national flags and chanting slogans, expressed their concerns over the potential impact of this action on Nepal's land rights. They argued that the embankment, which is being built on the Mahakali River, would shift the natural course of the river, leading to the erosion of Nepali land.
