The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) organized a protest on Monday demanding the release of Senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra, General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana and others.

The entire Muslim community across the country is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today, marked by special prayers (Namaz) and blessings from elders. In Kathmandu, Muslims have gathered at Pancha Kashmiri Takiya Masjid, commonly known as Kashmiri Masjid.

Protesters in Kathmandu have demanded the reinstatement of Kulman Ghising as the Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

Ghode Jatra, also known as Horse Racing Day, was observed at Tundikhel in Kathmandu today. Although the festival this year fell on Saturday, the government has been granting a public holiday on the occasion within the Kathmandu Valley.

The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala on Saturday morning in protest against the murder of journalist Suresh Rajak during the pro-monarchy movement on Friday. 

The protesters entered the party’s headquarters in Aloknagar, throwing documents onto the street and causing extensive damage to the office.  

The police's tear gas backfired on them during the clash at Tinkune. The protesters grabbed the gas shells and threw them back at the police, further escalating the tension.

Police have set up barricades along the Tinkune-Baneshwar section of the highway, apparently to prevent any untoward incidents during the ongoing protests by monarchists and the Socialist Front.

Supporters of Kulman Ghising, the recently ousted Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), gathered outside the NEA’s office and staged a demonstration again on Wednesday to voice their disapproval of the government’s decision.

As the demonstrations intensify in various parts of the country following the removal of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)'s Managing Director, Kulman Ghising, from his position, security at the NEA headquarters and other offices has been tightened to prevent any untoward incidents.
