Prime Minister Oli to hold talks with disgruntled parties

KATHMANDU, Oct 15: A Cabinet meeting held in Singha Durbar on Thursday deiced to call the agitating parties for talks.

According to the Cabinet decision, Prime Minister KP Oli will formally call the agitating parties for talks. The Cabinet also decided to form a talks team to address the demands of the disgruntled parties, said Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey.


"The Cabinet meeting entrusted Prime Minister K P Oli to pick members for the talks team," said Pandey.

According to him the Cabinet also decided to resolve the existing 'unofficial' economic blockade imposed by India against Nepal through diplomatic measures and seek alternative ways to tackle fuel crunch.

Similarly, the Cabinet also appointed Indra Bhandari and Promod Dahal as personal secretary and press advisor to the prime minister respectively.
