Prime, Goldengate, VS Niketan maintain winning streak

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Hosts Prime and Goldengate ´A´ continued their winning streak in the boys category of the Seventh Prime Cup+2 (U-19) Basketball Championship on Sunday. [break]



Prime defeated National Campus as the final score was 58-14. National Campus could not challenge Prime at any moment of the game. Prime took a lead of 19-4 in the first quarter and lead all the three quarters 13-7, 11-3 and 15-0. Mausam Gurung alone scored 20 points for the hosts in their home court.



Goldengate A thrashed Rato Bangla with the final score of 55-30. Goldengate lead the score table 13-0, 16-4 and 16-12 in the first three quarters. Rato Bangala tried to comeback in the final quarter and score 14 against 10 but they were left behind by 25 points. Pradeep Bhattachan was the highest scorer for Goldengate with 17 points. VS Niketan swept Campion by 54-20 as they lead all four quarters with the score of 16-0, 10-9, 13-5 and 15-6 respectively.



Likewise, Goldengate defeated Reliance 53-21 and Gyanodaya beat whitefield 40-28. Bern Hardt won their second match against Xavier International by a narrow margin as final score was 40-39.



In girls class, Whitehouse defeated Ullens 33-6 as Mrinalini Shrestha scored 15 points for the winning team.
