Poudel urges Koirala, Deuba to take break from politics

GULMI, Dec 29: Nepali Congress Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel has urged the party President Sushil Koirala and senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba to take a break as they have already served as the Prime Minister and party President as well therefore it was his chance to lead the party.

He added that his candidacy for the post was to strengthen the party stating that the party cannot go forward in status quo.


At a news conference organized by the Press Union district chapter today leader Poudel added that the party could not go forward on the basis of power sharing and factionalism. He added that it was an hour of evaluating the leaders by cadres.

He expressed the confidence that the ongoing Tarai protest would be resolved as his party was making efforts for the same.

Meanwhile, speaking in a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union Kaski chapter in Pokhara today, NC leader Purna Bahadur Khadka underlined the need of unity among the major political parties for the implementation of the constitution. RSS
