PM Oli to visit Spain in last week of June

KATHMANDU, June 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to travel to Spain in the third week of Asar (mid-July) to attend an international conference.


He will be participating in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, which is scheduled to take place in Seville from June 30 to June 3.

Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba shared this information during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR).


“Nepal has made significant preparations for this event. The Prime Minister himself will be attending,” Minister Rana said while briefing the committee on the upcoming conference. She also noted that Nepal is part of the organizing committee and that Prime Minister Oli had addressed a virtual meeting related to the event a few days ago.


The conference will focus on emerging global challenges, the urgent need to fully implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the importance of reforming the international financial system to support these goals.
